Somervale School continues to be an oversubscribed medium sized school where students achieve more than they thought possible. The school has been judged as Good on its last three Ofsted Inspections. Most recently in 2022 where inspectors commented ‘Leaders have a clear vision for the school. They are ambitious for pupils’ success' and ‘Pupils come first in this happy, caring and accepting school’. 

This combined with our excellent behaviour, innovative curriculum and yet another set of excellent results, demonstrates that Somervale School is a challenging and supportive learning environment with high standards and expectations where students can thrive as individuals. 

The school has recently been recognised for its excellent work around Equalities and Diversity when it achieved the Good Equalities Award from Equaliteach.
